AMP Lobby
The Lobby of AMP Circular Quay tower was included as part of the total refurbishment works. The original lobby was lit with an illuminated ceiling that had an energy consumption greater than 100Watts per square meter and represented a an ongoing maintenance liability. The wall and floor finishes had a heritage classification.
The white marble wall of the lift lobby was strongly lit with metal halide wall washers t0 compensate for the high degree of ambient spill lighting being produced from the Circular Quay surrounds. In addition metal halide up-lights were mounted to the window frames to up-light the ceiling and external walkway, compensating for the lack of daylight during evening hours.
